I personally enjoy the pursuit of our local Inshore trifecta - Bone Fish, Spotted Sea Trout, and Snook. But I also enjoy sharing my experience with you. When you fish with me, you’ll swear that I’m pointing at nothing. Trust me, and then suddenly you’ll have the thrill of a lifetime on the hook. We could have world-famous Tarpon, Sea Trout, Bone Fish, Permit or Snook on the hook. Near-shore we’ll target Mahi, Snapper, Grouper or various Shark species.
This boat is huge for a flats boat yet is regularly at home in water of less than 8 inches. It has huge forward and rear casting platforms, modern electronics, and is our go-to flats boat. It’s also just right for quick trips to the near-shore reefs.
This brand new 2018, Carolina Skiff DLV 198 boat provides greater comfort on our Full Day charters and routinely explores All of the bay areas. Shallow draft, powerful Suzuki and the ability to carry a full variety of tackle make this boat ideal for targeting multiple species, and making the full day, long runs to all of the area bay flats and islands.
Yes, it's much bigger than those skinny water skiffs, but it takes on the skinny water just as fine. And when I'm out deep in the bay, I really like having as big of a platform as I can float in those shallow waters.
This boat is huge yet is regularly at home in water of less than 12 inches. It has huge forward and rear casting platforms, modern electronics, and is our go-to flats boat.
We had a great time on the water. Capt. Morgan was extremely professional, friendly and an overall good guy. Capt. Steve was very funny and easy going. He did his best to put us on to fish, we caught a few small reef fish and a Spanish mackerel. The weather just wasn’t the best early on in the morning so the bonefish weren’t biting. Overall had a great time and lots of fun. Would definitely recommend to anyone trying to have some fun saltwater fishing. Thanks for the fun!!.
This was our first salt water trip ever. My 13 year old and I have been Bass fishing onshore for years, so we know the basics, but this was another level. We had a great first day, and Capt. Morgan offered us a discount to head out the next day and we took him up on it.
Capt. Steve took us out. He couldn’t have been friendlier and more focused on us. Their low-key, no “fishtimidation” approach gave us confidence from the start. We got right to it and were bending rods within 30 minutes. We literally caught: Trigger Fish, Grunt, Mutton Snapper, Grouper, Flounder, Yellow Tail and a decent size Jack.
Steve was very patient, especially as we kept him busy re-rigging our lines whenever we got caught on the bottom and snapped them off. He took time to give us good instruction, showed us different techniques and helped me reel in the Jack that fought hard.
If you are considering an inshore trip, go with these guys. They are less expensive than the others, kind and fun to hang out with. Just know that if you aren’t good at boats on the open water, try not to go on a choppy day. Our second day the wind was really blowing and we had 3ft swells on the Bay. We got wet and bounced around a lot, and the fish didn’t bite nearly as much as the day before. Then again, on the second day we went after bigger fish and expected lower volume vs higher quantity. It’s a no-frills trip outside of the fishing part, so bring food, lots of sunblock, long sleeves and a good hat.
Thanks Steve and Morgan, we had a special time.
Thank you Captain it was a great trip. Nice to meet you and I will be back again to another good trip for sure.

Biscayne Bay, Key Largo, Islamorada, Marathon, Key West
South Florida has hundreds of shallow water flats that are home to some amazing world-class fishing. We are usually in less than 3 feet of water - and mostly in less than 12 inches of water. We are sight casting at Permit, Bone Fish, Snook, Shark and Tarpon. Most commonly, Snook and Bone Fish are our targets. It’s challenging, but a very rewarding for more experienced anglers and a great learning experience for beginners.
